Regarding Summer Period Compulsory Internship


Step 1: The student agrees that they want to do an internship with the company. Students can obtain all documents and forms that will be necessary and filled out during the internship from the link below.

Step 2: The Student Internship Eligibility Form (S1) should edited and sent to the Research Assistants. (You should not copy and paste the photo of your signature on the form; instead, you should scan the signed document and send it as a .pdf file in an e-mail.)

Step 3: If the Internship Commission of the (relevant) Department finds the company where the student wants to do an internship appropriate, the member of the Internship Commission to whom the Department assigns approves the Internship Obligation Document (S5). (The signed S5 form can be obtained from Mümin ÖZKAN).

Step 4: The student submits the Internship Obligation Document (S5) to the company where they do internship. 

Step 5: The student takes three copies of the Internship Information Form (S2). In this printed version, they fill out the relevant parts, paste their photo on the form, and sign it. 

Step 6: The student signs the S2 form to the official/ relevant company representative, where they will do an internship. 

Step 7: The signed S2 forms (all three copies) should be submitted to the members of the internship commission for the Department of International Trade and Logistics Res. Assist. Nihal ALTUN or Res. Assist. Ayşenur EFE PARLAK, for the Department of Business Administration Res. Assist. Nida Bengisu TORUN, and Res. Assist. Umut Erdem YILDIZ. Together with these documents, the signed S1 and S3 documents and the SPAS Müstehaklık Belgesi (the SPAS Document of Necessity) obtained from E-Devlet (turkiye.gov.tr) are delivered to Mümin ÖZKAN, who is responsible for internship affairs in the student affairs.

The internship period is 30 (thirty) working days, i.e. six weeks. If our intern student works on Saturdays in the internship workplace, the student must submit a letter obtained from the workplace to Mümin ÖZKAN with the internship documents. In this case, the internship period will be reduced to 5 weeks, and insurance entry & insurance exit will be made accordingly. 

Step 8: The student's insurance entry is made. The Insurance Entry Certificate can be obtained from Mümin ÖZKAN via e-mail (mumin.ozkan@btu.edu.tr) or from the section listed under the heading 4A İşe Giriş Çıkış Bildirgesi in E-Devlet at the earliest one week before starting the internship.

Step 9: The student submits the S2 form and the Insurance Entry Certificate to the company where they will intern. 

Step 10: At the end of the internship, the S4 form signed by the Internship Commission member is sent to the company. The company is informed that this Evaluation Form should be sent to the Internship Commission in a sealed envelope at the end of the internship. (The relevant document can be delivered to the Internship Commission by the student or e-mailed. The student must follow the process of delivering this document to the Internship Commission.)

Step 11: Within one (1) month after the end of the internship, the student must submit the following documents to the relevant Research Assistants of the Departments. 

a) The Internship Report 
b) S4 Internship Evaluation Form (If the company will send it, the student should follow whether it has reached the Internship Commission or not.)
c) Students who receive wages must submit the "STAJ ÜCRETLERİNE İŞSİZLİK FONU KATKISI ÖĞRENCİ VE İŞVEREN BİLGİ FORMU" and the receipts obtained from the company or bank to Mümin ÖZKAN. 

NOTES: 

- The internship period is calculated by subtracting the public holidays of Türkiye.

- Students who do not submit the required documents will not be insured.

- Of the students for whom insurance entries are made, they are responsible for covering the financial damages incurred by the Bursa Technical University if they withdraw from the internship.

- Students who are public workers and officers will not be re-registered to SGK to avoid any errors in SGK transactions. Students who are public workers and officers should introduce themselves to Mümin ÖZKAN, who is responsible for SGK transactions, before starting the internship.

- Students must keep their contact information (e-mail and telephone number information) up-to-date on the Student Information System (OBS) for communication purposes.

- Summer internships will start on 26.06.2024 (26th June 2024) after the final exams are completed and the Eid al-Adha ends.

- Students who take courses from summer school cannot do summer internships at the same time.

- Documents in which students copy and paste a photo of their signatures will not be accepted. The student must print out each document to be submitted, sign the printed version, scan it, and send it to the official via e-mail.
