Bursa Technical University was established as the second state university of Bursa with 6 Faculties, 2 Institutes and 1 Higher School, according to the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 21.07.2010 and numbered 27648. In the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which is one of these faculties, departments started to be opened in the next period.

Bursa Technical University, Department of Psychology was established under the umbrella of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and has started accepting students since the 2018-2019 academic year. Our department consists of two Professors, one associate professor, six Dr. It consists of a Faculty Member and four Research Assistants. 

Psychology; It is a word derived by combining the words psykhe (spirit) and logos (knowledge). It is a science that examines the essence and different states of the human psyche and tries to find the rules of phenomena such as emotion, enthusiasm and thinking. Psychology Undergraduate Program is aimed at gaining various basic skills in a versatile perspective. Program; It aims to provide basic information about various psychology subfields such as Social, Development, Industrial-Organization, and Experimental and to provide students with scientific thinking and research skills. Equipped with this knowledge and skills, graduates can do their postgraduate education in a sub-field of psychology that they are interested in or start their business life. In this direction, graduates can work in public and private institutions such as hospitals, schools, family courts, prisons, special education centers, human resources departments of companies, nurseries and kindergartens, probation centers.

As the psychology department, our goals are; To educate graduates who can understand human nature, inner world, feelings, thoughts and behaviors and become aware of personal and life events that affect them.
